Meet the 2012 Summer Staff!
Keep checking back to meet our new staff for the summer of 2012!
Hey Campers!
My name is Alison and I’m new to Camp Tulahead this summer! This past fall I was studying at the University of Winnipeg working towards a degree in Business and then in January I went off to Alicante, Spain to study at a Bible school called Chalet Rio Vida my time there just ended, but I’m looking forward to new adventures as I head off to England where I’ll be studying at another Bible school called Capernwray Hall. Like I said before I’m brand new to Tulahead and I’d like to thank my friend Turtles for introducing me to it. I’m not brand new to camp though, I was a camper for nine summers at Red Rock Bible Camp in Manitoba, then I did the counselor in training program and for the past three summers I’ve been a counselor there. Camp is such a great place to make new friends and share in some fun experiences, but it’s also a great place to learn about God and your own faith. I’m excited to share with you guys some of my experiences and learn from some of yours. But most importantly I’m looking forward to what God has ahead for me because he teaches us so much everyday and we’ll never stop growing in him! I look forward to meeting you all very soon!
Hi! My name is Daniel aka Geronimo. This past year I have been completing Grade 12 at Robert Bateman Secondary School. I enjoy learning all sciences and participate in school sports for the fun! I also have worked with a Jr. Youth Group this past year as an assistant leader. Next year I plan on attending the University of the Fraser Valley to take Kinesiology. I started out at Tulahead as a camper 10 years ago and have attended almost every year. The past few years at Tulahead I have taken the SIT, LIT, and CIT courses in order to learn and have fun while at camp. I just love being at camp! It is an amazing place to be and I love that I can connect with kids there. I want to give the experience I had as a child to the kids who come to Tulahead.
Hey Campers!

I have been taking courses in psychology and child and youth care, hoping to pursue a career in counseling. Camp Tulahead has always been a special place to me filled with memories I will never forget, and where great friends have been made. I have thoroughly enjoyed the transition from Camper to LIGHTER to now my second year on staff as a Cabin Leader .Without fail Camp Tulahead has been a place filled with God’s Presence, laughter and the acceptance we all hope for. I am more than excited for the summer; it’s going to be better than ever! Hope to see you there! :)

Hi my name is Ben and this past year I worked at a lumber mill building gazebos up until December. In January I went to Spain for 3 months where I studied the Bible at a school called Rio Vida, and traveled Europe for a month afterwards. This is my first experience with Camp Tulahead, and I want to be involved this summer because I feel it is the perfect environment to be in after returning from Bible School. I love camp because of its community and its energy. I also have a passion for teaching and leading youth and feel that I have a lot to share with them from what I have learned in the past few months.

Hi my name is Amanda, aka Saddle. This past year I attended Trinity Western University where I am in the pre-med program. In the future I hope to become a doctor specializing in pediatric surgery. This year I began attending Aldergrove Alliance Church and I was one of the leaders of their junior youth group for a semester. This will be my 7th summer at camp. I went to Tulahead as a camper for 3 years and then decided to become part of the LIGHT program for 2 years. I have completed all three levels of the LIGHT program as well as the junior staff program. Last summer was my first summer on staff and I had a blast! Camp Tulahead is a place where I can always be myself and never worry about being judged. It is also a place filled with the love and spirit of the Lord, and I always feel closest to God when I am there. I am so excited to be a cabin leader again this summer and I can’t wait to see you all there! Get ready for a summer experience filled with lots of love, laughter, and good times!
Hi everyone, my name is Neutron! I am a student at the University of British Columbia and I just finished my third year studying physics. In my free time outside of school I was involved with a great club called University Christian Ministries and I fed my appetite for sports by playing on a volleyball team and taking a class in kickboxing! This will be my second summer working at Tulahead as a cabin leader and I am SUPER excited to see you there! I had an absolute blast at camp last summer and am looking forward to some more great times on the climbing wall and in the lake! And who can forget Skit Nights and worshiping God at the campfire! And above all, I know what a wonderful chance we’re going to have to get to know Jesus better together!
Hey, my name is Dana and this will be my third summer at camp, and my second summer doing the LIGHT program. This past year I graduated from Douglas College as a child and youth care counsellor. I have been working in a group home and doing respite care with kids with disabilities. I’m excited to spend this summer at camp because it’s my favourite place to hang out with kids and with awesome camp staff. Also because I love wearing costumes!
Hi, my name is Logan. I’ve just completed my first year at Trinity Western University in Langley, BC. My Major is Corporate Communications. Also, I’ve been helping out weekly at my church as a youth leader to boys 12 to 14 years old. This is my first year at Camp Tulahead and I am greatly looking forward to all that’s in store! I think God put it in my heart to be at camp this summer for my own personal growth, particularly in the area of leadership. I do enjoy being around kids and teens, and I learn about myself honestly around younger people. Sometimes they draw out of me that I’m not as patient or well put-together as I’d like to be, which is healthy for me to realize. The fact that I live in the same house as my parents and six siblings means I’m always learning about myself. My hope is that my summer at Camp Tulahead will be one where I’m personally stretched and learn to live with my eyes wide open.
Hello Camperoos! Turtles here =)
This past year has been quite the adventure for me. In the fall, I continued my studies at Langara College in the General Arts Program while working part time as a cashier at Superstore, and also as a Rhythmic Gymnastics Coach. In January, I spent 2 and a half months living in Spain at Bible School, and I also backpacked around Europe for some time afterwards. Camp Tulahead has been my favourite place to spend the summer for a total of 13 years now, and every summer I come back more excited than the last! I’ve been a camper for 10 years, have completed all 3 levels of the LIGHT program and will be returning this summer for my second year on Staff. Clearly, I love Camp Tulahead. But why? It’s a great place where campers can be themselves, have a ton of fun, and get to know God! I can’t wait to hangout with you all! Get ready for the week of your life. =)
Hey! My name is Uno and I just graduated from Trinity Western University with my Bachelor of Arts in Education, Theatre and History. In September I will begin my professional year at TWU to earn my Bachelor of Education. I am pumped! This will be my third summer on staff and my second summer as the program assistant. I love camp because of the amazing things that we get to do and the way God works through the staff and campers alike! So good! I can’t wait to meet you; see you there!
Hey everyone! This past year I have spent most of my time at Trinity Western University studying to be a teacher! This will be my second summer on staff and I am so pumped! Before coming on staff, I was a camper for 10 years and I completed all 3 steps of the LIGHT program. I love absolutely everything about Tulahead. I love the friends I’ve made there. I love the silly songs and the activities. I love the water fights and singing around the campfire. I love the joy that is so present and I love the depth. Most importantly, I love God and I love that His love is so evident at camp. People get ready. I’m Mentos and I’m excited to spend the summer with YOU!
