Tulahead is situated on 100 acres of beautiful fields and wooded areas, located beside Laird Lake and nestled in an amazing valley blessed by God’s creative hand. We have the ideal setting for retreats, conferences, reunions and other special events for groups of 30 -100. We are available for rent between the months of September to June, with each season bringing its own beauty from the rich colors of the Fall, the freshness of snow in the winter and the newness of Spring.

Over the years, we have observed that there are several ingredients that must come together to make a camp a significant experience for those attending. We wish to do everything in our power to provide the setting and the support staff, which will enhance your time here. We are here to serve you, so please let us know if you have a particular need. Our desire is that your time here is an opportunity to experience your Creator in a new way, feeling His presence in a very real way as you spend time in His amazing creation.

ACCOMMODATIONS and MEETING AREAS

Cabins

  • 5 cabins: each cabin is divided into 2 rooms (each room sleeping 8 people)

Longhouse

  • 4 rooms: each room sleeps up to 5 (one double bed and 3 singles)
  • each room has two areas, one for sleeping and one for sitting

  • great for families, accommodations for up to 20 people

Outdoor Meeting Areas

  • Campfire Ring: benches, platform with spotlights, plug ins and a pull down screen, seats 100

Dining Hall

  • large meeting room and a games room downstairs

ACTIVITIES and EQUIPMENT

Winter Highlights:

  • Ice skating on Laird Lake
  • Toboggan run with floodlights for night use (toboggans and helmets available –supervision required)
  • Cross country skiing on fields and lake (no equipment)
  • Ice fishing
  • Skiing at Bear Mtn. (30 mins.), Manning (1 hr), Apex (1½ hrs)
  • Any activity that requires snow

Spring, Summer and Fall Highlights:

  • Swimming in Laird Lake (enclosed swimming area, PFD’s, slide, sand beach)
  • Canoeing (6 canoes, paddles)
  • Row boating (6 rowboats, oars)
  • Kayaking (4 kayaks, paddles)
  • Fishing (according to regulations)
  • Playing field, sand volleyball court, basketball court, other sports equipment (ask to see if we have what you need)
  • 2 tetherball courts, 2 horseshoe pits, swings, teeter-totters
  • Climbing Wall (extra charge, ask for details)
  • Hiking Trails: beaver ponds, twin pines, the cross
  • Fitness run: 9 stations

What is your weekend availability?
Give us a quick call or send us an email and we will give you the updated availability.
When does the snow come and how long does it last?
It usually starts to fall the middle of November and finishes melting mid-March.
Can we come on a long weekend?
You’re here, you might as well stay a little longer! Talk to us about your options.
Is there a hospital nearby?
Yes, there is a hospital in Princeton (21 kms.).
Can people come and visit and stay for a meal?
Of course! Be sure to let us know so we can be prepared. (There is a charge for those visiting).
Will we have to share the facilities with another group?
Absolutely not, you will have exclusive use of the facility during your stay with us!
Can we come mid-week?
Definitely, in fact we even have a reduced rate for mid week rentals!
Are meal times flexible?
Yes, but you need to discuss your options before your arrival.
Can we spread out as a group and not fill the cabins completely?
You are welcome to spread out but an extra charge does apply. Ask us for more details.
Can we do our own cooking?
Yes, please talk to us about your options.
Can we be out late at night to play a night game?
Definitely! Just let us know ahead of time so we can warn our neighbours!
Can I bring my pet?
Unfortunately we have a no pet policy.

BOOKINGS and COSTS

Group Size
We require a minimum of 30 people and our maximum capacity for sleeping is 100. You may come with less than 30 people, but must pay for 30.

Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of $400 is required to book your rental dates.

Cancellation Policy
Your deposit is non-refundable (an exception may be made for extreme weather conditions)

Payment Policy
The remainder of your fees is required upon arrival. If you need an invoice prior to your retreat, please contact the office. There will be a late payment charge of $50 for any fees not paid at camp.

Group Rates
Rates are based on your length of stay, number of guests and if you require cooking.

WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP?

In order to secure a booking for the weekend of your choice you will need to send in Contract Part 1 with your deposit. If you would like to tentatively book a weekend you can call the office. By doing this you will receive a call should another group be interested in the same weekend as you. At that time you will need to commit to the weekend by sending in your Contract and deposit. By tentatively booking a weekend you avoid disappointment of losing the weekend of your choice to another group.
