Parent Survey Results
Thank you so much for completing the online surveys that were sent to you in the new year. We are so appreciative of your feedback and are happy to announce some changes that we will be making for summer 2011 and also share with you the comments that were made from parents.
First off we are exciting to announce that our Spring Fundraising Dinner project is the renovation of our central washrooms and dining hall upstairs washrooms. We have heard your concerns and know that this is an area that needs some tender loving care.
Another issue that was addressed by several parents was their concern around bullying and how it is becoming more of an issue for their children when interacting with other children in any setting. We have been addressing this growing issue during our staff training pre-summer, but want parents to know that we are revamping our training sessions to incorporate more practical knowledge and role playing. We will also have a staff member on hand this summer directly responsible for camper behaviour concerns. It is our desire that every child that attends Camp Tulahead is well taken care of and is never threatened or bullied on any way.
Below you will find the responses to several of the questions on the Parent Survey. Again, thank you for your comments and feedback and if there is anything else you would like to address, please let us know.

My boys invited a friend last year who also loved the camp.
We have encouraged the kids to invite their friends up with them.
Nicola had a great time last year. It also came highly recommended by her cousins who attended for several years. It seems very well organized & a safe environment. The DVD is great!
Kids are a captive audience for the Gospel at camp. They are in a setting where they can be free to hear it. Camp Tulahead is Biblically based and well run.
It really all boils down to the staff at Tulahead. Staff can make or break the campers experience, and Tulahead has a reputation for choosing the best.
All of my children have gone there and they love it
I think it is good for the kids to be on their own with friends to see how they do without parents – ie responsible for their own hygiene, cabin cleanup etc. As well as to have fun.
We have already had some of our friend’s children attend Camp Tulahead.
Definately. The positive behaviours of all the staff, the awesome activities, the location on the water is fabulous as the children get to experience water activities that they may not normally be able or want to experience. Encouragement by staff and the leaders are open to share about themselves.
Our daughter is very keen to return Camp Tulahead and we would love to convince a friend to go with her.
It was a great experience and we would recommend the camp.
I see in the leaders and the adults that they are there because they want to be. So therefore the kids feel welcome. I feel my child is welcome there.
Very good experience for young boys to be on their own
It’s just like camp is supposed to be
Fun, positive, friendly environment. Energetic leaders. Outdoor activities. No TV, no video games!
Already signed up for 2011 and bringing a friend along :)
