Children are at the heart of all that Camp Tulahead does all year round. Our facilities, our grounds, our staff and our programs are all focused on offering children the atmosphere they need for healthy growth and development. Our skill-based, inclusive activities provide the teaching and supervision to allow children a sense of discovery and mastery, while the relationships with staff and their peers foster a greater sense of social-emotional awareness, skill and resilience.
Don't wait to register for 2018 - space is available now!
The youth of today are a force to be reckoned with. Their sense of passion and desire to build a better world are amazing to witness in action. Our leadership program offers great training in the basic skills of leadership and is useful for both volunteer experience on a resume as well as toward scholarship applications.
L.I.G.H.T. - Leaders In Guided Hands On Training
It’s never too early to start getting prepared to work at camp!
We offer 3 levels of leadership training for those campers wanting to learn more about being a leader at camp.
- SIT– level 1, Servant In Training, 3 weeks in July or August
- LIT– level 2, Leader In Training, 2 weeks in July and August
- SSIT– level 3, Summer Staff In Training, 2 weeks in August
The LIGHT programs vary in length and are designed to equip today’s youth with the skills and abilities to share tomorrow’s hope with others. Participants will have many opportunities in a variety of leadership experiences and will be challenged in all areas of their lives. All three levels of the program consist of the following components: leadership training; service; and camp ministry. Upon completion of each of the three phases of the program, a reference letter may be written upon request for future employers, and a certificate will be presented.
spiritual - the desire to grow spiritually and to know and follow Jesus Christ.
